Abstract



The paper is an analysis of the way(s) Romanian translators of Edgar Allan Poe’s fiction have dealt with the specific rhetorical device of repetition. The corpus of analysis comprises a wide range of repetitions: literal (alliterations, consonances), morphological and morphematic (diacope, epizeuxis, polyptoton etc.), syntactical (epistrophe, anaphora) as well as of ideas, of discourse, of argumentat
